A travel experience with Mala Barua
Mala Barua lives in New Delhi, India and is the owner of a luxury travel company called Mystic-Asia.
Mala has lived in London, Hong Kong and Singapore for 23 years and moved to India in 2000. Her career has been coloured with different experiences from banking to fashion to teaching Yoga and Tai Chi! She has a Bachelors Degree from Delhi University in Sociology and Philosophy and is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries in London, UK. Her career started with National Westminster Bank in London and she has recently given up a hectic schedule of the world of fashion to get more aligned with the true essence of her passion, which is to bring people closer to their own spirit.

When I decided to attend the teachings of the Dalai Lama in Tawang, I did not pay too much attention to the media controversies of whether he should or should not go to a land which is in India but China claims is theirs. For me Tawang is my homeland. I grew up in Assam and remember the names of Tawang and Bomdila from the days of the Chinese invasion in 1962. Forty seven years later I decided the magical combination of Dalai Lama and the cliffside monastery of Tawang was something not to be resisted. MISSION
Mystic-Asia has given a new meaning to the travel industry. With the industry looking increasingly at novel travel experiences, Mystic-Asia is confident that it offers something unique by combining luxury travel with learning about health and holistic wellbeing.
